Darryl Nelson
Strength and Conditioning Coach
Darryl is originally from Buxton, Maine. He attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training. He earned a Master's degree at the University of Georgia while working as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Bulldog's intercollegiate athletic program. Darryl is also certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
In addition, Darryl has worked as a strength and conditioning coach at Mike Boyle's Strength and Conditioning in Woburn, Massachusetts and IMG Academie's International Performance Institute in Bradenton, Florida. Before joining APSI he worked for 19 seasons with Olympic and professional development as the head strength and conditioning coach for the USA Hockey National Team Development Program in Plymouth, Michigan.
Apart from training, Darryl is also passionate about outdoor pursuits such as hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking.
